mary katrantzou
first up - matthew williamson - predictable but still lovely as usual.

love the way this flares out into a satsuma colour at the bottom, it really does look like fire. i think that colour fade carries the dress by itself, it almost doesn’t need that busy bit in the middle.

topshop unique - leaps & bounds ahead of the previous dalmation flop! really into the egyptian influences and all the little details like the tortoise shell lining in the shoes, gold foil hair and evil eyes.

holly fulton - another predictable collection which i was really disappointed with :( this art deco zebra dress restored faith.

danielle scutt - so original, i enjoyed this collection, she made some really interesting choices in terms of structure. i love how things like bows on skirts are placed in the middle and shirt buttons get twisted and pinned in places that no one else has thought of doing!

mary katrantzou - for fuck sake. this is the one designer i was wetting my pants to see & she came out with this blah collection. i struggled to find a half decent garment to put beneath her name on here.

temperley london - proving the point that sometimes less is more. i’ve always had a thing for maxi blazers, specially ones as well made as this. and i lurvelurve the way that basic white dress has been accessorized. simplicity at it’s absolute best.

giles - yeah mannn. silver made sophisticated.

CLUTCH CONTROL
dunno about you but i have zero control over my unhealthy obsession with clutches! i can’t get over the pale blue ninewest bag, and its not even that expensive …. uhoh.

(left to right, top to bottom)
leather sandro pants, guiseppe zanotti wedges, matthew williamson jacket, topshop shorts
mcqueen cape dress, metallic mulberry dress, axparis palazzos, reka vego envelope clutch
givenchy maxi skirt, monochrome chloe wedges, shorts from colette.fr, jeffrey campbell rainbow platforms, vintage chanel necklace

…. not a lot then! get saving.

Matthew Williamson’s releasing a new album!
I first saw that online and thought WHAT, the guy can design and sing, lifes not fair. But, turns out he’s put a selection of songs together for the BFC’s second fashion week themed album. He’s said to have picked tracks from new bands such as Best Coast and Oh Land and has also designed the cover artwork (screw the songs, i’ll be buying one just cos it’s pretty).
